Thanksgiving and Stuff
Nov. 23rd, 2007 01:54 pmTurkey Day went pretty well. Nothing really interesting or noteworthy occurred at my parents', which is how it should be (as I've mentioned, we had a car full of teenagers crash into the wall outside the house last Thanksgiving...). Got to see family, gorge myself on food, and say hello to the goats (or at least the adult goats; I didn't want to risk going into the barn because of allergies, so I only got to see the ones who had access to an outside pen).
Lots and lots of folk dance/music stuff occurring in the next two weeks or so. My life has abruptly become phenomenally busy.
Interesting tidbit: I feel more rested when I stay up talking to people on IM until 1:30 or 2 in the morning, then wake up at 9 or 10, than I do when I'm a good boy and go to sleep at midnight (and then wake up at 1 in the afternoon, inevitably). Shrug.
This Thanksgiving vacation seems as if it's taking forever. I don't really object to this, but work is gonna feel really weird when I have to go back on Monday.
I have rediscovered Star Wreck. Fear for me.
